So far, out of his other friends Thor and Tony were the most enthusiastic about asking for spars from Bucky. (Tony he suspected was more interested in getting a closer look at how the arm look than out of any real desire to fight while Thor was completely honest about his desire about getting someone new to fight with that he didn't have to hold back quite so much.) On the other hand, he wasn't looking forward to seeing the damage that would be done to the gym the day Bucky decides to take them up on their offers. Tony waved the cost of rebuilding the gym away as a matter of course and joked about it but Steve couldn't help feeling a bit uneasy. However he didn't deny the spars would be interesting to watch.

He couldn't help but feel flash of elation as his ploy worked; he had Bucky pinned down instead of the opposite position they started off with. Steve saw the hand reaching for his throat just in time to make a grab for it to try to pin it down against the bed. It may have been the flesh hand instead of the metal one, but it'll do just as much damage to his throat even if Bucky didn't mean to. He made use of his bigger bulk to press Bucky's body down hard on the bed, making sure to put enough force at the hips and thighs so Bucky couldn't throw him off.
