If they were going to go out again, he was really going to insist on civilian clothing. Steve doesn't mind a weapon or two (even three, especially if they were hidden) but they were only going grocery shopping and not charging into a HYDRA base or a live war zone. Whether Bucky was clean shaven or kept a beard was up to him (he liked both) so long as it was clean. Same with hair. Steve doesn't want a bodyguard, he only wanted Bucky's company.
He could tell that the amount of 'care' and 'concern' his teammates had for him right now would get oppressive before long, which was why he left the Tower in the first place. Steve finished his soup first before starting in on the bread, chewing carefully with every bite. His stomach had been rather delicate before and he doesn't want to be sick on the food Bucky had worked hard to make. "I'm not complaining." Steve scowled as he replied, still carrying on with the firm look. "Just making a point. And good. You should be comfortable resting and that armor's not comfortable to rest in."
