Despite being on mission he had bathed recently so there should be no complaint about his appearance. He had even washed his face and hands at Bruce's request before he had gone and seen Steve in the treatment ward so as not to risk getting his friend sick. He was pleased to see that his comment had struck the right effect with Steve all the same, his expression softening even if he hadn't worked out a complete laugh from his friend; the amusement was enough for him.

He shivered at the squirming, and he felt a strange warmth in his belly that he was only slightly used to happening to him. There was also more skin available to him as Steve's oversized boxers continued their gradual descent towards Steve's knees. "You should take those boxers off. They are bunching. Don't you find them uncomfortable?" And he was feeling flushed and warm, though no obvious reaction was happening just yet.
