Yes, he figured that would be the only reason, and he wondered if he got himself into enough trouble whether Steve would be reduced to calling him 'James'. He doubted it; it seemed to him that the strength and volume of 'Bucky' just continued to rise when Steve was dealing with any antics that his friend wasn't certain of or was annoyed about.

He stiffened at the mention of inhaler, and old instincts, even those long forgotten, were quick to kick in. He gently tipped Steve off of him and shot out of the pillow fort like lightning to go and retrieve the inhaler through the massive bag of medications. He knew what he was looking for and he skidded on his bare thigh on the carpet in his haste to give the inhaler in Steve's hands. He watched anxiously from outside the fort, mess still drying on his belly and thighs but having eyes only for Steve.
