Steve hadn't known how much he wanted this vacation with Bucky where there wouldn't be any interruptions until the words 'road trip' left his mouth. He wouldn't have cared much for a vacation by himself (something that he's tried once already), in a place where he wasn't comfortable or interested in, but a slow trip through the countryside seeing and doing as much or as little of it as they want with the person he cares for the most he would happily have gone without any protests or trickery.
