He was content, more than he had been when he had been told that Steve had been taken by HYDRA. Even now that seemed so long ago even if it were nothing more than a few hours. It never ceased to surprise him that he always lost track of time, especially when he was indulging in spending time with Steve who often had his full attention. Moments like these where they lounged around together were not particularly rare, but it was easy to let go of most of his time sense in the face of enjoying this.

He hummed at the attention but turned his head to spy Steve reaching for the tissues. Like killing, intimacy was messy business.
