Steve had always enjoyed the heat and he had apparently had a better appreciation of the cold. There was nothing wrong with the differences in preference save that one was giving way to the wants of the other. He figured that as long as fewer clothes were involved in the process while they were alone, he was fine with whatever temperature everything had to be. It wasn't like Steve put up much of a fuss about it now that they had entered the realm of being lovers, a term that made him flush with pleasure every time he heard it, even if it wasn't even referring to him at all.

"But at least you can do anything other than that," he remarked with a shake of his head. He knew that the Avengers were a loyal group to one another, but it was nothing like this. Two men out of time waging war on each other with pillows until there was very little left of the pillows themselves. It wasn't even taxing on his strength and the strikes weren't painful at all, just provoking a sense of freedom that he found most with Steve. He blew feathers from the air trying to land on him, and he looked up when Steve plucked one from his hair. "Yes, HYDRA has mastered the ability to hide, and that makes them very dangerous," he agreed as he leaned in to catch Steve's lips in a kiss.
