No matter how Steve personally felt about the Smithsonian exhibit he was glad it was there. There so that people may learn at least some few facts about his old friends and more importantly, had given Bucky a nudge in the right direction towards Steve. Even if the information at the exhibit contained the bare minimum of their shared history, Steve was happy to fill in the blanks for Bucky, to tell Bucky everything he wanted to know, either in words or in pictures. It didn't matter that Bucky didn't remember everything, that he was here, that he stayed and had the desire to know more was enough for Steve.
Steve sighed into soft skin as Bucky peppered kisses back onto him and even sucked a mark into his skin. It would be gone within the hour he knew and Steve felt just a bit regretful about it. He continued to pet Bucky's hair and mouth back at Bucky's neck and ear, his own actions slowing down as his eyelids began to droop as well. It's been a long day for him already and now that he had Bucky's familiar weight on him even in a bed that was not his own he drifted readily into sleep, more at ease than he had been in the last few days.
And when he woke, it was to a room with feathers scattered everywhere surrounding and on the bed and a clock showing a time an hour and a half later than he usually would have slept. It took him a moment to remember where he was and what happened last night and he smiled fondly down at the mess of dark brown hair still resting on his chest and shoulder.
