The hotel had very good soundproofing (it had to, at the price it charged), nearly on par with what the Tower had. But Steve could still hear the sounds of local authority responding to the 'mess' he and Bucky had 'cleaned up' yesterday. On an ordinary day he would have been up and about already, probably starting on debriefing on any missions that he part in yesterday, certainly had have breakfast and gone for a run already. But they'd sent him here on 'vacation' so Steve thought himself justified in leaving any HYDRA related cleanup to the rest of the Avengers.

He could feel it, the moment when Bucky started to wake up, that minute shift in body movement and breathing. When they had been young children, they had napped together often enough on the same bed, curled up closely together on limited space. What did they call it these days? Big spoon and little spoon? As the thought passed through his head he couldn't help but smile, a silly little smile in response to it. Yes, back in those days he'd been a 'little spoon' and Bucky the 'big spoon'. He rather missed that sometimes, the way his body was small enough that Bucky could fit around him easily.

Steve stayed relaxed and at ease as Bucky woke up completely and his eyes followed Bucky's gaze around their room. "I feel completely well." He answered reassuringly. "We've both had a long day yesterday and our bodies were aware of it." He scrounged up onto his arms and leaned his head in close to Bucky's. "Shower for both of us then...hmm...it's a bit late for breakfast...brunch I think. I can order in again, unless you want to go out instead?" There was a buffet as part of the hotel that Steve had tried but he'd found the amount and variety of food offered overwhelming, not to mention the amount of people there. He didn't enjoy it and he doubted Bucky would either.
