Steve right now as more eating for the sake of eating than out of any real enjoyment of the excellent food, the conversation they were having taking most of his thoughts. "I have no idea why." Steve said in a tone that almost sounded exasperated. This fascination and obsession over the private lives of anyone even remotely famous he does not think he will ever understand. "There are other six foot tall blondes out there." Just because he'd gotten used to being stared at didn't mean he liked it. And again, he was reminded of how things have changed. Once upon a time it was Bucky who was the one being looked at admiringly and he was the one barely given a glance or two. "It's still stealing because we didn't ask for permission first." He responded firmly. "They might not want to sell it."
His eyes widened a bit to see the faint smile on Bucky's lips. Smiles from Bucky were rare now and he can't remember the last time Bucky had laughed. (Or rather he did, and Steve didn't want to think about how long ago it was.) "We weren't the people we are today, Buck." He answered quietly, pushing the piece of apple around on his plate in random patterns. "Lots of things have changed."
