Steve waited patiently as he watched Bucky check the car for tempering and bugs. He had to admit it didn't occur to him to do this, even though he's seen Natasha and even Barton do this several times. Bucky was clearly the more paranoid of the two of them when it came to their safety and Steve really didn't mind the few minutes of extra wait to that would make them feel more comfortable. "I'm glad you approve." He laughed as he got into the driver's side and readjusted the seat and mirrors for his height.

He's always had a good memory for streets and maps and it wasn't long before they've left the city proper. "I've been talking about what I've been wanting to see...what about you? Anything you want to see?" It occurred to him as he turned onto the highway that maybe he's been a bit selfish and he remembered Bucky talked about seeing California once many years ago but was a lifetime ago for both of them.
