Steve was not above copying Bucky's tactic. As soon as Bucky was down, he was up, dodging around Bucky's already moving body to head back onto the main road to continue their race. He was aware if they'd continued to roll around in the dirt, Bucky will win that contest eventually. But in running? The outcome was not as clear.
