A Musing Dreams

Steve kept up easily with the other mer, his body moving on automatic even as his thoughts swirled around his mind frantically. He ignored the bared teeth even as his flared instinctively in response. "But why?" He demanded, baffled at why would any mer would work willingly with humans, especially since these ones don't seem like the type to treat one well. "You don't have to go back. You can stay here, out of reach." Human couldn't reach them easily so far down in the deep after all, not often and not with the aid of machines or clumsy gear.
