"They'll have to be able to catch me first. If I stay in water, and draw their attention that way you can get away, right? Even if it's in shallow water I'll have the advantage." Steve said confidently. "And if they're that eager to catch another mer, I should have no problem keeping their attention." He paused for a moment, then added. "How many guards?" He was good but even he couldn't fight against too many humans with their weapons. Hopefully there wouldn't be too many.
He frowned at the words 'medical once over'. It all sounded so cold, but he suppose he couldn't expect much more of humans who would force a mer to work for them against their will. "Will that be enough time for you to recover?"
