It was wrong that a mer would spend all his time on land or away from their own kind. Mers were all about clans and family after all and the sea was their home. To be cut off from both was horrifying to contemplate. This mer beside him...he was a strong one, stronger than him, to survive without both. And all without knowing his own name! While Steve liked exploring the world above the sea from time to time he had always had the comfort that his home and his clan was waiting for him.
